Wants you To KNOW

Hartland is little known for its natural beauty, open space, rich history, small population, and is often referred to as the “Moose Capital of Connecticut”. Hartland was founded in 1761 in the “Hollow” between two mountains, now demarcating the East and West sides of Hartland, with the “Hollow” being flooded in the creation of the Barkhamsted Reservoir.
